“a wandering mind is an unhappy mind.” : “Altered Traits”

“This self-system(default mode) mulls over our life—especially the problems we face, the difficulties in our relationships, our worries and anxieties.”

My two cents: an overview; When our mind is not focused, engaged in an activity, our inner critic thrives with difficulties, worries and anxieties.

If we let our minds wander, most of those 60,0000 to 70,000 thoughts a day will be self-centered and negative, emotionally draining.

The old adage,”An idle mind is the devils workshop” seems to be accurate.

Learning to be present, focused and empty of thought, could feel like a miracle to most, even for a couple of hours.

Give your mind a break, go on a “thought diet” everyday for a while.
