Merry Christmas: Giving has a power hidden inside for me

Giving is what life is all about.

.

My need for approval, my unworthy child inside, melts away when the giver arrives.

.

We all have different parts inside us, like mini me’s. For me it is a shamed little boy, a judge, a worrier, a jock, a giver, a jokester, a coach (teacher) and a spiritual sort of guy.

.

.

I found out that when I was triggered, the judge, worrier and shamed boy were present.

.

.

Interesting how vulnerable we are with the negative parts in control, how easily we accept these unworthy ideas and emotions.

.

.

My giver part feels the most powerful, the least impacted by my “ego” or negative parts.

.

.

When I feel unworthy, I summon my giver, engulf myself in his goodness and power.

.

.

I have discovered the giver is the real me, the powerful warrior, who knew!

.

.

Conversely, the negative parts thrive in the past and future.

.

.

The giver thrives in the now.

.

Maybe we should cultivate our powerful parts.

  1. Very insightful post. I can relate to living in the now — the giver lives in the now and this is a sweet gift to the soul. Wishing you a Merry Christmas with the ones you love and a blessed, healthy, a prosperous New Year 2018.

Congrats on your blog award for PTSD. Well deserved — this is quite insightful and beautifully written.

  2. Thank you for the kind words

Gratitude and giving are a boomerang

Day after Christmas dinner – Chinese and of course a fortune cookie.

    Short and sweet.
