Gratitude: simple overlooked things maybe!

My Childhood, My Trauma: I have worked to accept and surrender to my abuse along this journey. Now, it is the architect of my inner core, who I am. I see the skills of willpower, courage, tenacity, persistence and empathy it constructed with great strength. Today, I share and support others in their healing path in response to my trauma. Such a special gift. Lastly, I found a deep meditation practice in the midst of the turmoil.
.
Sight: My therapist is blind. This has given me a great sense of gratitude toward the benefits of sight. I value sight over all other senses. I get to experience the world in vivid color and contrast. Being able to see affords me great mobility. I can drive, walk, easily navigate fluidly without trouble.
.
Air: A month ago area fires blanketed us with heavy smoke. Going out was dangerous so we realized how important, critical clean air became. I have to admit, clean air was overlooked, taken for granted.
.
Light: I ask people in group to give me a description of the room. An inventory of everything the eyes see. Almost everyone overlooks the two biggest items. Light and the space in between the objects. Without light we can not see anything.
