Updated: Clarity, doing nothing, letting go

“Leave everything as it is
in fundamental simplicity,
and clarity will arise by itself.
Only by doing nothing
will you do all
there is to be done.”
—Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche
What fires together, wires together, where we place attention grows, where we withhold withers and dies.
Let others own their words, their behavior without input from us.
External things, people and situations can not impact our true nature, our spirit, our soul.
Tim Robbins in Shawshank Redmeption stated, “There is a place in everyone’s mind that can not be controlled, imprisoned.”
Sit today and search for that inner, secure place.

    So true, so true.

We see pure joy and happiness in his moment, Andy Dufrain.
Look at stories from Holocaust survivors.

  3. This movie brings many thoughts to mind.

The mindful, almost soulness nature of Morgan Freeman and Robbins together. Andy was the only one envisioned freedom. He demonstrated that many times. His mind was never imprisoned.

In that plane crash in the Andes, only one person envisioned walking out of the Andes, Nando Parado. 17 people live today because of his undying spirit.
As long as I have a breath, I will die one step closer to home.

Simple thoughts can overcome impossible odds at times.

Simple thoughts combined with action that is.

“RED: I could see why some of the boys took him for snobby. He had a quiet way about him, a walk and a talk that just wasn’t normal around here. He strolled, like a man in a park without a care or a worry in the world, like he had on an invisible coat that would shield him from this place. Yeah, I think it would be fair to say…I liked Andy from the start.”

    Yes an “invisible” coat ….

  5. and that is why love is always opposite to fear. Love is the way to the. Love is to surrender, give up, doing nothing and allow the nature comes to you.

  6. What a prose for Red to share, such picture words, so vivid.

Love has the opposite or much different connotation for Americans.

Vince Lombardi legendary Packers football coach was the first one to speak of love between team mates.

He was such a force he could get away with it.

    Thanks for the feedback

Hard to believe the master of evil, scary books and movies could write such marvelous, thoughtful story. Stephen King is a genius. My sister said once his books had “too many words” much like the line in “Amadaus” where it was said “Mozart has too many notes”!

“External things, people and situations can not impact our true nature, our spirit, our soul.” I love this quote. if only some everyone could come to believe it life would be so much easier.
