Healing is a Battle

Healing from PTSD, depression, anxiety, worry or constant doubt is a battle.
.
.
Our Ego never feels equal to another person(Ego) always better or inferior.
.
.
Judgments abound from this vulnerable creation of ours.
.
.
Intrusive thoughts were bombarding a client I was trying to support the other day.
.
.
As usual my instructions were to focus on the breath, let the thoughts go and come back to present moment.
.
.
Anxiously she told me they kept coming back as I read her feeling somewhat helpless in real danger.
.
.
This is the critical point, the time when we get better or worse depending on our actions.
.
.
Our Ego wins if we give in, grasping those unworthy judgements, avoiding, denying or dissociating into the past.
.
.
This is the battle line between healing and continued suffering.
.
.
Where we place our attention, how strong we have built our focus matters now in this battle for wellbeing.
.
.
This is the turning point where the battle is engaged as a mindful practioner or a suffering victim.
.
.
It is a harsh space that decides our fate, our existence.
.
.
Practice as though your life depends on it, actually your emotion existence does depend on it.
