“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.”

Self worth or unworthiness has to be dealt with before we can seriously consider finding happiness.

Lucille is correct, self love is the first rung on the ladder to happy.

Affirmation will correct this negative situation.

Example:

In this moment right now, I accept all of me.

Well, “Lucy” did had a “lot of xplanin” to do. Her words are telling. By her own admission not a very good, loving mother, a driven actress, not a comedian, ran DESILU studios. Tough cookie. But she did get “a lot done”.

  2. Self love can cross over into narcissistic behaviour

We always have a full spectrum of extremes on each end.

Loving oneself does not always follow to love others as much

Some love themselves much much more

True narcissist have no empathy or compassion for anything but what looks back in the bathroom mirror

Lucy may have had a quote but her behaviour was not that altruistic. She was the critical partner. Desi was the kind funny compassionate one off camera.

Yes, I know. He was also, from what she said, and he admitted, “extremely “compassionate” to other women while still married.:)

The story about Lucy and Desi tragic – to love each other so much and have it end the way it did. Each said they were the love of their lives.

Abbott – critical, had Epilepsy, heavy drinker. Costello a sweet heart.

Yes, the male, female dynamic can be complicated. Look at the alleged accusations about Cosby.

I love a quote that heard from Cher.

“Men are an accessory, not a necessity”. I personally don’t support this 100% but I think it’s pretty humorous.
