“Living with your Heart Wide Open”
.
.
As you practice mindful self-inquiry, you’ll get increasingly in touch with what’s going on inside you—the myriad thoughts and emotions sometimes referred to as the ten thousand joys and sorrows.
.
.
Mindfulness provides a space for direct observation of all of these experiences without getting caught in the extremes of repression or entanglement, both of which can perpetuate as sense of unworthiness.
.
.
You can learn to shift from your old ways of seeing to new possibilities.
.
.
We want to acknowledge that it can be enormously challenging to be an impartial observer when you’re situated face-to-face with yourself in a hall of mirrors reflecting the emotions, thoughts, and memories underlying your feelings of shame, guilt, inadequacy, and a host of other unpleasant visitors.
.
.
The gift of mindfulness is that it gives you room to observe this entourage of aversions, fantasies, judgments, and perceived slights as they come and go.
.
.
Gradually, you’ll learn to acknowledge these feelings and see more clearly into their origins and how they feed self-limiting definitions of who you are and who you can be.
.
.
This will allow you to experience deeper states of acceptance, freedom, and peace.

  1. Thanks for insight into mindfulness and about learning about ourselves!! Reminds me again to practice mindfulness.

  2. Thank you very much. It is a lifestyle not a diet

  3. This is the hardest thing. I always feel like, oh! I need to change that. I dissociate so much I think that when I try and practice mindfulness I see everything that I’ve been avoiding and feel ashamed, or like I need to do something.

  4. Thanks for the response

Mindfulness is not about accomplishing anything, not about setting goals, it is about letting go, not judging and learning to stay present.

Avoiding is the opposite of mindfulness. Avoiding makes things worse makes our demons grow bigger and scarier.

We are all, perfect as our true self. Be easy and forgive yourself.

Never give up never give in
