The Breath: A closer observation

.
.
Become your breath. What does that mean? Let us analyze it.
.
.

60% to 75% of the breath happens inside our nostrils, the inhales and exhales.
.
.
If we place attention inside our nostrils during the inhale and exhale, three quarters of the breath is covered.
.
.
During this time, we are the inhale and exhale, going slow, mind empty, focused and aware. It is like we are riding on a small train, the breath, going slow, extremely focused, mind empty and alert.
.
.
The pauses complete the breath cycle.
.
.
It is the only time our bodies are quiet, like in suspended animation. It takes energy to inhale, then hold a pause.
.
.
We are moving, depleting the air inside our lungs during the exhale. We make sounds as we inhale and exhale, low decibel sounds.
.
.
When we are focused and aware these sounds are perceptible.
.
.
During the pauses, the body is at rest, a silent space.
.
.
This silent space makes our hearing much more sensitive.
.
.
Our inner exploration can deepen during these pauses.
.
.
Our powers are heightened if we build our focus everyday.
.
.
Notice the contrast between the inhales, the exhales and the pauses.
