“In Touch”. ….. See thoughts as thoughts.”

“See thoughts as thoughts.”
.
.
At first this was a puzzling instruction for me; it seemed so obvious—of course thoughts are thoughts.
.
.
In time I realized the importance of this simple invitation.
.
.
To see thoughts as thoughts means to see that they are not reality; they are maps of reality.
.
.
Some maps are more accurate than others, yet none are reality itself.
.
.
It also means to see thoughts as objects in awareness, rather than awareness itself.
.
.
It was her way of describing the witnessing of thought.
.
.
To witness something means to see it clearly, without judgment, as a scientist would during an experiment.

Thankyou Marty, … today I am writing down the thoughts and memories of one of my aspects of being who is 14 and mute, so that I can take it with me to my psycholigist (who is on 2 months sick leave, but has given me permission to call her if I need to) for her to read and try and help this aspect of my being … I have also, in the spaces between dissociation to this time been returning to your breathing exercise , I watched the vidio of how to do this correctly … Thankyou… 🙂 and know that other aspects of my being eg The Caretaker , my now deceased mother are helping me to manage my daily needs … I have also given a lot of thought over the past few days on what may be right for me … As at todays date ( it changes all the time) I have decided that if I can repeat a mindfulness course I did last year, concentrate on eating a really healthy diet, continue practicing my self hypnosis (I was also an accredited clinical hypnotherapist and find the self hypnosis exercise there very beneficial for myself) … I also agree with you that the (D) in C PTS(D) needs not to taken on as we usually have enough problems to deal with … I am so grateful that the universal energy ? Or whatever moves in mysterious ways led me to your sight at this time , and I love your logo for this page, because it is truley a bridge to the otherside … Thankou for being such a dedicated being to help others that are also struggling with the impacts of C PTS(D).

  2. Dissociation, leaving this moment to ruminate, to enter the past traumas or future worries are the greatest hi deranged for us to be happy.

Remember thoughts are air without attention or action. On average 60,000 thoughts enter our consciousness daily, none of them relevant unless we grasp or give attention to. Much better to let go, let them fade and just exist in this moment.

Thanks Marty … It is within Mindfulness and the breathing exercises you have taught me that I intend to focus my attention on for the rest of this journey … Here’s smiling at you …
