Our mind seems to be thinking, calculating, worrying, comparing, doubting, or dissociating constantly.
.
.
These cognitive functions are minuscule compared to the enormous capacity of our minds.
.
.
Our minds never seem to get a rest, a break from the hectic pace of dealing with the 60,000 thoughts that invade our consciousness daily.
.
.
Mindfulness/Meditation builds a strong focus that allows us to empty our mind, to bring balance and some equanimity into our daily existence.
.
.
Someone with a negative self image, depression, trauma, or anxiety needs a break from the incessant critical thoughts that occupy our mind.
.
.
More thinking will only make things worse.
.
.
Our minds can be a hell on earth or a joyful experience of freedom.
.
.
It is our choice.
.
.
Grasp the constant flow of thought or focus on the breath, accept, let go and be free.

“More thinking will only make things worse..
    .
Our minds can be a hell on earth or a joyful experience of freedom.”

This is where “awareness” comes in to play.
