Levels of distortion!

image
.
.
.
Initially, we have hidden, subconscious bias from our childhoods, culture, race, etc, which distorts reality.
.
.
This level of distortion remains hidden for life without extensive internal examination (mindfulness practice).
.
.
Another level is created with wandering thought, judgement, rumination of sorts.
.
.
When we spend to much time wandering in the past or predicting the future, distortion abounds.
.
.
Unimportant things can consume every waking breath.
.
.
We think our “Ego” is real, important, threatened somehow.
.
.
We lose touch with now, reality, this very moment.
.
.
We substitute real life for a delusion created by our “Ego”.
.
.
Happiness exists only in the present moment and contains no distortion.
.
.
Distortion contains no happiness either.
