Winning: a lesson

.
Riding bikes on the playground yesterday, Bowie, 5 years old, stated he needed to win.
.
Such an abstract idea, such a quandary of unknown value.
.
What is winning worth?
.
Does a trophy hold the prize, happiness?
.
If we have no trophy, how will we celebrate our win, how will we display our superiority to others?
.
Do past wins make life wonderful or better now?
.
Where do we redeem our wins for a happy life, joy?
.
How many wins do we need?
.
A loss must be devastating if wins are so valuable.
.
Sounds like a plethora of judgments to me.
.
What happens if we let go of wins and losses?
.
Can we live life as a journey, in the moment, free of thought?
.

A 180 from what you’ve shared your experience was – from young age to be professional baseball player, and was.

A little competitive spirit I think is good, fun, good life lesson to put it in the right prospective. Making the effort, and accepting the outcome as not a personal failure.
