Time:—Distortion, Loss, Confusion, Dissociation, I am lost!!!!!!

Painting by Zdzislaw beksinski

Time is totally man made! Rushing, that is being late, rushing to catch up, multitasking dulls awareness. We lose sight of the meaning of life.
*
We simply strive to be present in this moment to experience all of life. Always being in a hurry, races past the essence of being alive.
*
Time distorts some of the time, I believe. Awareness can distort time in a different way.
*
When we focus on an activity beyond the cognitive, time disappears or becomes distorted. Athletes, performers, musicians are a few humans who access this time warp. Intuition or reflexes take over in performances or certain mindful practices.
*
Reach beyond the cognitive, notice how time concerns disappear with daily practice. Slow the breath and let the landscape of thoughts clear, enter a timeless space for a couple of minutes.

This painting is so powerful, disturbing, but draws you in. Powerful embrace of someone very special or perhaps embracing our damaged selves, I can’t quit looking at it and feeling something different each time.
