Why not be a part of those overcoming suffering, then share your healing with others. Take responsibility for your life, completely.

My personal comparison of these two marvelous opportunities are clear to me.

Mindfulness has many aspects and depth available with a multitude of applications. You can take a course or a year to study, attaining a staggering amount of knowledge. Do you think any direct experience with healing has happened.

How would you rate a therapist with this experience? I would say nothing that would be useful to me healing much.

Now, let me expound on this large multi-station room. Every machine and exercise hits another part of the body. Kinesiology of the muscular skeleton is complex and difficult to understand. Actual use of the weights are slow, precise movements with subtle position changes. Many different programs for speed, endurance and strength exist. How much does this knowledge improve of our body?

Both of these skills offer reward only with actual use. These two skills are not spectator sports. A therapist with only knowledge of mindfulness has no clue what it is or how to apply it. Zen buddhist practitioners believe it takes ten years of dedicated practice just to know how to meditate. Weights are just anchors without use. An ignored home gym benefits our bodies in what way?

Find someone who actually practices mindfulness everyday if you want an expert. No Ph.D.’s in mindfulness, no matter how may letters behind a name. It is our healing so choose experience and success in a therapist not a title.
