We travel through life building control of our life. We chase and sacrifice for career, money, or status to elevate and protect ourselves. We desire nicer neighborhoods, better schools, safer environments for us and our family.
.
I am not saying any of this is bad, just not the control, we think we have constructed around us. Cancer or tragedy can happen anytime, anywhere. It is a fact!
.
Place more emphasis on this moment, an awareness that all of life is contained in this second. Then life moves on to the next moment.
.
Take more risks, reach farther out of your comfort zone, live fully, now.
.
Be bold, trusting yourself, living with worry and fear in the background.
.
Much is possible with daily practice and some courage.
.
Change your life, expand your perimeter, search out uncomfortable and observe it. Get to know it, become familiar with it.

Recite this 1000 times everyday!
-It is true of all of us. `How does that sit with your ego? -Disbelief, I will wager.

James Sebor
This is what we consider the fear we experience. See here it is a chemical reaction set off by our amygdala, nothing to be afraid of. We can learn to be calm and use our breath to dissipate the cortisol.

“Freedom From Fear” by Peyton Quinn.
1. Tunnel Vision: One’s field of vision narrows and tunnels into the perceived threat.
2.Auditory Exclusion: The hearing tends to shut off.
3. Loss of fine motor skills: Often only gross motor functions are possible under the adrenal state.
4. Tai-chi-Psyche: Everything seems to move in slow motion.
5. Increased heart rate, blood pressure and respiration.
This is the environment PTSD places us when we are triggered. Our skills have deteriorated along with our ability to respond to a delusion threat. This is why we have a daily practice, so we can stay present and observe this phenomena correctly.

Speech events are a marvelous opportunities to observe the constructions of self. Notice the subtle motivations behind your speech today. When is the primary communication merely your own existence?
Sometimes what is said is not very important; what we are really saying is, “notice me, I’m here, I’m special, I am like this, I am.” It can be useful to grow sensitive to the tendency to seek respect, appreciation, confirmation, praise, or recognition. You don’t need to squelch these desires should they arise, but notice how they contribute to the development of self-formations.
Are you in a phase in your life when self-formations are valuable, or are you ready to deconstruct these processes?
You can also observe your internal dialog, ruminations, and daydreams. Make a note of moments when the thought “I am” forms. How much of your thinking is recreating and reinforcing the story of being you? What would the experience of your life be like without the burden of incessant becoming?
Enjoy the explorations of your mind.

“Surrender! The most basic thing is: surrender to reality.
-
The more you fight, the more you are in conflict with it, the more you will create obstructions. The more you fight with reality, the more you will be a loser. Of course, through fighting you can attain to the ego, you can become a very strong ego, but your ego will be the hindrance.
-
They should be completely surrendered to the river of life, completely surrendered to the river of existence. In deep surrender, the ego disappears.
-
And when the ego is not there, for the first time you become aware of that which has always been there.”
-
*
It takes working with every thought to change life time habits.

The ego is a useful creation for identity, nothing else really. So we do not get rid of ego, we go underneath all those distractive foul thoughts connected to strong emotions.
*
We let all these thoughts and judgments flow on through as we gently focus on the breath, as we have practiced over and over. this is a simple, singular, concrete action that can be applied with every thought, every emotion, every breath.
*
our action can make letting go of the ego’s offerings habit after a while. that brings freedom and a clearing of the mind to heal and see what life is really about.
*
Life expands and opportunity flourishes when the ego’s influence shrinks a little each day. Happiness and freedom are awaiting you a little farther up the road.
.
let go and trust, refuse to judge, refuse to follow the fear and anxious thoughts, refuse to ask why and what if, refuse to give power to thought and others.
.
Live in this movement void of distraction with focus on the breath at this very second.
.
It is all that life is about, right now this mundane landscape we see, this is it. look deeper, a whole world we have been overlooking with our grasp of the cognitive thought process, lies right before us.

Exploring awkward, uncomfortable or annoying can shed light on emotions and perspective on the minds role. These emotions are only slightly negative and easier to work with than fear or anger.
*
Search out a person who annoys you or a situation you feel awkward in, then focus on your breath and let go. Let awkward exist on its own without engaging it, that is without thought.
*
Practice this scenarios until awkward shifts and becomes something entirely different. Awkward left alone fades quickly. Engaging awkward helps it grow and leads to avoidance.
*
Healing comes with staying present when trigger fears arrive or explode. This is called integration. Avoidance is the polar opposite. If we leave this moment to grip emotions or thought, trauma grows.
*
Mindfulness makes integrating, staying present without thought possible. Our trauma is stored in our amygdala, a mind organ that can not be accessed consciously. We know this because we all have tried to talk our way out of fear and trauma many times.

Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it.
– Helen Keller
*
Why not be a part of those overcoming suffering, then share your healing with others. Take responsibility for your life, completely.
*
Bury the past as it is over. Be present and focus on making right now come alive. Be aware of life passing you by, when thoughts randomly entice us into dissociation.
*
Simple daily action may change your life. Being sedentary brings that suffering to our doorstep.
*
Accept you, then live in spite of fear, doubt and worry. It takes mental action and willpower.

The Plague
Fear scares us, keeps us avoiding, daily. Fear narrows our lives and brings rigidity to our personalities. We tense up, hide and dissociate into trauma thoughts. Maybe we play the “What If game“, doubting ourselves and then we worry.
-
Fear is not going away for us to heal. It did not for me. I changed my relationship with fear by working everyday whether I felt scared or not.
-
As I look at the suffering, the suicides and the resistance of most to take action, few ever heal from childhood C-PTSD. It takes dedicated daily work to untangled a whole childhood of abuse.
-
That means taking action when fear is present. Are you willing or do you have the discipline to work everyday to heal? Do you have the courage to risk and keep going on hard days?
-
The timid who avoid have a much harder time with PTSD. I want to make it clear that healing from an abusive childhood takes all our effort and discipline, it is not easy.
