PTSD narrows the scope of our vision and life considerably with time. We create illusional threats that trigger us, releasing cortisol and adrenaline to reinforce the thought. We then flee, dissociating into thought, fear and confusion.
-
The fear grows because we could not stay present to see that PTSD is a delusion. Practice focusing on the breath everyday and apply with every emotional thought.

Thanks Marty! I had an incident this week where someone was very irate with me and it threw me off the entire week. I noticed I was a lot more hypervigilant. Even the nightmare I had last night was an indication that I was more hypervigilant, and having irrational fears. I just have to keep reminding myself that the fear is irrational (unless it isn’t – like I should be wary of that irate person but I shouldn’t be afraid to leave my home!!!).
