If we can work on allowing unpleasant situations to exist on their own, emotions will become another part of our inner world.
*
Emotions, then can flow on through our body without our involvement.
*
All emotions can be seen as impermanent, a state of mind that is in constant flux.
*
We all have a complete set of emotions, so this unites us rather than identify us individually.
*
Develop your focus on the breath, to be able to stay present without thought, when emotions erupt. Some great generals became calmer as a battle became more confusing, loud and violent. As great quarterbacks impart a calm confidence to his teammates.

Being able to accept our humanity is key. That is such an over used word. To me we have to accept our warts and human skill weaknesses if we place words now on them to understand them.
I accept I am not perfect, even flawed in many human ways which has nothing to do with who I am or happiness in my life.
I like all of you have only this minute to live my life, I waste it if my mind focuses on thoughts from the past or worry about the future.
So above all else to enter into the discussion of living life, you have to be here empty and focused not distracted with the mind cluttered and racing.
If we are not here now without distraction the battle is already lost, PTSD wins and grows in power and duration in our consciousness.
healing is taking these thought mini battles and stay present so we do not continually dump cortisol fear and avoidance into our recovery.
Everytime you engage a trigger thought or avoid it, trauma grows and our recovery loses that same amount of healing. So many make this complicated with all these complex therapies and ideas.
It is simple, if you bring awareness to each trigger thought and keep the mind either empty or focused on something in the present moment entirely.
That is simple not easy by any means but you will heal if you dedicate yourself to apply this information
