C-PTSD: Statistics are Woefully Inadequate and Incomplete

No way do I believe that 50% of us get treatment. Many people do not even know they have it. Many are misdiagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder or even just the symptoms of PTSD: depression, anxiety, etc. Jails are full of PTSD.

Where are the statistics on therapies? We need statistics on Complex PTSD treatment success rates, average duration of a healing therapy, who heals, what helps the most, and what can we do on our own, for starters.

Visiting a therapist once a week can help or provide support, but healing takes a lot of work on the self.  The DSM feels like a guide for money, insurance rates and their guidelines. Sometimes it even feels like victim-blaming. Why aren’t abusers diagnosed?

It is not for healing.  How can a science with all the education it takes to be a therapist be void of stats and results?

Create your own therapy and healing practice. Be in charge of your recovery.
